Speaking

25 years behind the camera, in the chair, and leading the teams that make live production work. I speak to the people nobody claps for, and the leaders who depend on them.

KeynotesTalks I give

01HOLLYWOOD STOLE YOUR SERMONThe world took the church's story engine and outworked us with it. This session traces where cinema's storytelling came from and issues a charge to production people: you're not documenting a service, you're unveiling truth — and the story was ours first.→02STAYING WELL, LEAVING WELLNobody teaches church staff how to stay in a hard season or how to leave a good one. This series walks the full life of a calling inside an organization: obeying your yes, confronting God's way, speaking truth to leadership, and knowing when the season is over. You are responsible for your voice, not their ears — this teaches you how to use it.→03BIBLICAL AVATARS FOR PRODUCTION LEADERSWhen God built His first house, He staffed it — and every one of those stations still exists in your production department today. This keynote gives technical leaders a biblical identity for the seat they hold, and names the one duty none of us can rotate out of: the watchman.→04THE VILLAIN IN THEIR STORYEveryone has a story about the person who wronged them. Nobody talks about what happens when you're that person in someone else's telling, whether the story is true, false, or somewhere in the fog between. This message walks through Scripture's path for all three: real repentance when you're guilty, the David posture when you're framed, and the Matthew 18 conversation most bitter leaders demand from others but never initiate themselves.→05BUILDING HEALTHY PRODUCTION CULTUREWorship culture is built on four postures: worship toward God, intercession for the people the feed reaches, purity in the person behind the equipment, and honor between every seat on the team. The first three make the work holy, and the fourth makes the team survivable.→06Live Direction at the Highest LevelCalling shows, reading a room, and telling the story that's actually happening.→

WorkshopsSessions I teach

01VOLUNTEER CAMERA WITH JESSE MAITLANDamera Shooting 101 beginner workshop. Covers the fundamentals of operating a video camera for live church production: team vision and expectations, camera operation basics, shooting techniques, essential settings, and best practices during services. Anchored in the worshipper-first conviction — the camera team leads the online and overflow audience into an encounter, not just a broadcast.→02ADVANCED CAMERA TECHNIQUESThe next-level camera workshop. Assumes basic composition and exposure knowledge, then goes deep on creative camera settings — the exposure triangle, iris and depth of field, ND filters, motion blur — plus advanced shooting technique for broadcast worship environments.→03DIRECTORS TRAININGYour director development workshop. Teaches directing for your deliverable and audience, comparing traditional broadcast against the Bethel approach with video breakdowns. Covers director notes and camera assignments, song-by-song show prep, the Directors Checklist, cut timing, and the culture side — directing as a team sport, preparation as the foundation of confidence, and the "ultimate secret" behind the live broadcasts.→04Control Room Workflow Tune-UpSignal flow, roles, and rehearsal habits that cut chaos out of your Sunday.→05Cinematic Multi-Cam for WorshipLensing, lighting, and coverage choices that make a room feel like film.→06Building a Volunteer Training RhythmOnboarding, levels, and feedback loops that keep people growing instead of leaving.→
